OES provides reasonably priced, sliding-scale repair work for gear enthusiasts in the LA area. If you live elsewhere, you’re welcome to reach out as long as shipping won’t damage your gear. We specialize in tape machines (cassette or reel-to-reel), analog effects (rack units and pedals), vintage and analog synthesizers of all shapes and sizes, analog mixers—pretty much anything you’d find in a hardware-based home recording setup. We also plan to offer hands-on, in-person workshops, lessons, and Gesprächskonzert (the German term for a hybrid performance and instructional seminar) in the LA area. Additionally, we’ll produce video tutorials and—if there’s demand—video-chat–based workshops so anyone around the world can participate.
