We find old gear, wipe away the grime, layer by layer, the terrible disgusting grime, then open it up and see whats up with it.
its actually a lot of fun except for all the toxic inhalation of ancient dust, airbourne grime, and of course, solder smoke.

Sometimes we get lucky and the thing is close to a spit shine and a powercord away from being studio ready. Other times its a miserable chore of diagnostics and forehead sweat. But thats usually when we find some old thing, heavy. as all hell, humming and glowing when its powered up and just cant resist buying it. Then some reasearch turns up that it wasnt made for music. the secret is though, that people made a lotta electronic shit that wasnt made for music thats a couple 1/4 inch jacks away from being the best damn thing for music out there. Its those bits of kit that cause the most headache but end up the most satisfying because you aint gunna find it anywhere else, or hear it on some other shmos record. its Mine! or yours if you want it.....

Our Process

finding forgotten, junked, or otherwise unappreciated bits of vintage kit, and wipe em down and fix em up for studio use, whether they were intended for the studio or not
pull together everything we can find, documentation wise, on the thing not just for our use in the servicing process but to share with any of you that are wild about this stuff enough to be interested
make any necessary modifications to either bring the thing up to date, make it safe, or emphasize/access its potential as a piece of a/v gear
document the process and hopefully find the piece a good home when its up to snuff again!
